Market Square Jewelers has been buying and selling our pieces for over 30 years. We have a welcoming environment for you to sell your jewelry at each of our locations in Dover, Portsmouth, Manchester, Newburyport, Cambridge and Portland.  We go over each piece and walk you through our buying process.  Each member of our staff is trained to place a value on your items, which means there is no appointment necessary.  We buy everything from costume jewelry to your platinum and diamond pieces.

What you can expect

There's no appointment necessary to sell or trade your jewelry with us. Every member of staff is trained to evaluate your pieces, and we are happy to do so regardless of whether you decide to ultimately sell or trade with us.  When you bring in your pieces, we will evaluate the metal and look for any maker's marks.  With gold pieces we will use acid testing to determine the karat, then weigh, and price based on those factors.  We use on the spot market value for precious metals to ensure you are getting the fairest price.

Selling vs. Trading

We always offer our customers an outright or "cash" price and a price if they would like to trade with us. Trading is a wonderful opportunity for our customers to purchase something they love using the value of their unused precious metal. Do you have broken or damaged jewelry?  Have you recently inherited an item that just isn't your style?  Trade it in for something you'll actually love to wear!  We give you the full value of your precious metal if you are trading towards an item in our showcase.

If you do decide to sell or trade with us, we will require a form of US government-issued identification in order to complete the transaction, as required by law.
